This report (formerly known as the Mental State of the World Report) is the annual report of the Global Mind Project. The Global Mind Project tracks mind health and wellbeing across the Internet enabled world, collecting data on a wide range of emotional, social and cognitive capacities and problems along with numerous socio-cultural, lifestyle and environmental factors.
In this report we use data from ~1 million respondents in 2024 and 2025 across 84 countries in 25 languages to highlight global trends in mind health and four key drivers of declining mind health in young adults: deteriorating Family bonds and Spirituality and increased use Smartphones in Childhood and Ultra-processed food consumption, providing global maps and rankings of each of these factors.
Data from the Global Mind Project is freely available to the academic research community through our Research Hub.
